The Concept
This project is my personal take on the Holyjam 2025 game jame. My goal was to create a cozy, cooperative multiplayer experience where players must work together to survive the encroaching winter.
Technical Journey
On the technical side, I wanted to push myself by building a real-time multiplayer architecture using Colyseus.
- Engine: GDevelop
- Networking: Colyseus 0.16
The Current State
While the game is not yet a complete experience, the core concept of synchronized multiplayer survival is fully functional. I didn’t have quite as much time as I initially planned to polish every feature, but the foundation and the "heart" of the game is there.
Even though it’s a "work in progress", this jam was a fantastic opportunity for me to:
- Deepen my understanding of GDevelop.
- Better understand real-time state synchronization with Colyseus.
- Learn how to manage the complexity of multiplayer logic in a short timeframe.
